In Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Newt Scamander arrives in the city near the end of a global excursion to research and rescue magical creatures. An unsuspecting Jacob Kowalski inadvertently releases some of Newt's beasts. The Crimes Of Grindelwald sees the powerful Dark wizard Grindelwald captured with the help of Newt Scamander; but Grindelwald escapes custody and gathers followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
